POV: You need to give someone some information, but they're not home. What are you supposed to do? The answer is, leave a door hanger (also known as door knockers). Widely used by political candidates and grassroots activists to convey information, sometimes a door hanger is all you have time for before you keep it moving. They're cost effective and quick to produce.
